Turns out the return of the laptop was easier than I thought. In the box, slap on a label and leave it downstairs. UPS will pick it up before 2 today.

Then I shopped. I think I've crawled all over the website of every company that makes chromebooks in the past few months. No one has what I want. Most are too small and are under powered. And then I went to the website of a chromebook expert to read his reviews and discovered that I don't want a chromebook at all!!

I want a ChromeBox! A desktop allinone situation that runs chromeOS. A desktop chrome'book'. And I bought it. Lots of RAM. Gynormous screen. It comes with a keyboard and mouse but I also ordered a keyboard/touchpad combo to try out.

And then, Wall Street said OK! My investments have taken a fabulous turn up today. Whew.

I made a delicious quiche for lunch. This plate is horrible for photography and it looked prettier before I started eating...

I use premade pie crust and cut it to fit my little tart pans. One crust easily fills 3 tart pans - I freeze the other two. Today I used one of the frozen ones.

I layer grated swiss/gruyere (from Trader Joe's) cheese and a little cut up ham. Then I take one egg and beat it with a little cream, salt and pepper and pour it over the cheese and ham. I top it all off with more cheese. 375 degrees for 30 mins. Perfectly simple and perfectly delicious.

The Mariners are trying to lose their waytoomanygames game in a row. It's getting depressing but hey it's what they do best. I'm going to clean up the kitchen and then have a sit for some TV and chrochet.

How neat! I googled them - and the one I saw had a nifty mount to attach it to the back of a monitor using the VESA mounts - that is ingenious!

It's been a long time since I made homemade quiche. Your post has reminded me how easy it is to make and how delicious it tastes.

Yeah, I noticed that. I hope they wake up in tome for the series against the Rays that stats tonight.

The Sox very kindly woke up on Tuesday, for a game we attended i nperson, and dispatched the Angels with, well, dispatch (2 hours and 26 minutes!).

And then last night they went back to their old ways, blowing a lead in the 9th and giving up 6 runs in the 10th to make sure they couldn't salvage it. (Fortunately we only had to watch this disaster for our living room couch.)
