Oh me of little faith

While my new computer did not even make it to FedEx before I went to sleep, it's already in Seattle now at 8:30 am. It's not yet Out For Delivery, but I'm encouraged.

I had a lovely swim. Monday-Friday is easy - gym and bus wize. Weekends suck. Mainly because the gym does not open until 8. If I took the car, I could grocery shop before and/or after and or brunch which would help. But, still by the time I get done, half the day is gone. I think I might just save a Jeopardy episode for tomorrow and fire up the treadmill and then just take Sunday off.

Other than play with my new computer, I don't big plans today. Probably laundry. Crochet. Baseball.

The latter might be a bit of an issue. MLB (not one of my favorite organizations on a good day) is still fucking around with TV options. Last year (or year before?) they had a couple of games available ONLY on Facebook. Since I reject Facebook (who also rejected, me so fair's fair). This year the fair haired streamer is Apple+. I actually have ready access to Apple+ and I'm even ok with trying out some new (to me) announcers. So while disrupting my normal sucks, this sucks less than a lot of options. IF it works. There were reports of earlier games on Apple+ that suffered mega streaming issues. So we'll see.

The email from USPS says I have a package coming today from overseas. I'm not expecting anything so this could be fun.

Guess I'll go hang up my swimsuit and put a load in the washer.

NO, I will NOT open my eyes.

Apple+? That's got to be their most limited option yet compared to people who have FB or who can access YouTube. I just checked and there's only one Jays' game that will be on Apple+, and it's vs the Angels in California, so I wouldn't have stayed up to watch anyway (I don't have Apple+ as my TV is too old for their app to work with it).

To our moderate annoyance, they put last night's Sox game on Apple+ and tomorrow's – scheduled for 11:35 AM! – on NBC Peacock, which means two games out of a three-game series to available on our cable package. ()Not actually certain about tomorrow; the Boston Globe's "thumbnail" of the series listed it as "NBC, Peacock", and that comma suggests that it might also be on NBC's regular channel., but I doubt that's actually the case.)

That sucks big time. I did notice on Thursday night's game, our local sports network was advertising that they would be carrying last night's game - they always tout upcoming airings. So in addition to being a really horrible idea, there seems to be some confusion. MLB just keeps getting worse and worse.
