Game Day

My baseball ticket package is for 20 games. I don't get to pick the games, they are a set chosen by the Mariners that includes a variety of day games, night games, games with fireworks, games on weekends, etc.

The day games are my favorites and my least favorites. When the sun is out and when it's hot, they are torture. I have even been known to give my ticket to one of those games to my friend, Frank who is young and can endure The Wrath Of Hot. A few years ago, there was an afternoon game in a record heat wave on Father's day. I spent a lot of the game inside watching the action on TV but even so it was just a miserable day and I promised I would not have to do another of those.

But today is perfect. They probably will even have the roof closed. Our stadium has kind of an umbrella type roof. It's open on all sides but covered from rain. When the roof is atop, the stadium has the nicest, coziest feel to it. And there is no sun. Even if they don't close the roof, there won't be any sun today.

And their brunch buffet is their best buffet. And they have a bloody mary buffet bar as well. Fun and delicious. I'll be leaving here around 10:45. It's only 8 now. I still need to decide which Mariner shirt to wear.

I spent a lot of time yesterday cleaning up and organizing my chair/computer space and trying to figure out the best arrangement. I want one where the screen is easy to see and move and I have stuff (like yarn/projects) nearby and no clutter.

I did get everything cleaned out and sorted. And I found a nice cart that is the right size and on rollers for the monitor. It arrives today from Amazon.

My phone wallpaper is set to the Bing photo of the day and today is a Moma and baby koala hanging on a branch and it's really making me smile.

And so is this.

I've seen bloody Mary buffets where you could make like a whole big salad to go on top of your bloody Mary if you wanted.

As much as I love to see the warm weather, it really doesn’t know when to chill (literally!).. so many of my childhood memories are of fun days out that are tainted with memories of being too hot/burned/thirsty!
