In a big charity shop, I find that the greatest discoveries are items that others are buying at the checkout. I always see the coolest stuff in the checkout line.

Today I scored before then. I wanted tray to put in my lap for eating. I found one that was perfect in size and weight and handles but was butt ugly. I found another that was meh. Then I looked up and a woman up the aisle had two different but each perfect in her hands. She was clearly debating which one.

I went up and said "I'll take which ever of those you don't want." We had a good laugh and tried to decide and finally I voted for the smaller of the two and she took the other one. It was a fun exchange for sure.

Turns out they are completely reorganizing the entire store and won't be finished until June. Fun.

My very dark sunglasses arrived and they are wonderful. And they are dark. When I first put them on, it's like looking through a TV that isn't turned on. But soon my eyes adjust and it's great. Now I just have to remember to always have them with me.

Now that I finally have a good supply of the two kinds of wet food that Biggie will eat, he's decided he's tired of one of them. So I made a trip to the pet food store this afternoon. I got one kind that I'm really really really hoping he falls for. It's these pellet things that you keep in the freezer. No smelly cans or pouches, No messy cat dishes. I'm sure he'll hate them but I couldn't not try. Fingers crossed.

Cats are so hard to feed, and dogs are so easy. In fact, dogs are so tuned to eating anything that you have to keep an eye on them. Rosie once tried to eat a burrito that she found squashed in the road.

Yay thrifting!

Indeed, I like to pick through the tried-on clothing rack. Other people tend to have good taste, lol

I decided a long time ago that trying to keep track off sunglasses was a losing proposition (for me, anyway), so I've been getting photochromatic lenses for decades. My sunglasses are always there when I need them. (Of course this has the problem that when I go inside after having been out in the bright sun, I can't see a damn thing.)
