It was 50 degrees at 6 am when I went out to catch the bus this morning. I had on my puffy vest and I really did not need it. Especially coming home. But, I checked the forecasts for the rest of the week and it's back down to the 40's so no need for outfit overhaul.

The 'new' swimsuit I found was not new. Many suits ago, I used to line them all until I realized that the lining wasn't needed and just added bulk plus made the wet suit a lot slower to dry. I think the suit I found must have been the last lined one I made. Also it's like carrying 2 soaking suits home in my backpack.

Today I'll dig out my other old suits and see which, if any, are still wearable, toss the rest, and make a new one if needed.

Last night, Britbox carried a pagent/show for the Queen's anniversary celebration. I tuned it in after the news and stayed til the end. It was fascinating and fun. Lots of marching bands (which I love) and drum corps and dancing/marching horses from all over the United Kingdom and beyond. It was pretty cool. The nice thing about watching something like that from the UK is that the commentators pop in every 20 minutes or so with a cogent piece of interesting info but for the vast majority of the show, they SHUT THE FUCK UP so you can just enjoy the pageantry. This is something that Americans are, apparently, physically unable to do.

Biggie food continues to be an issue. He's been eating the same stuff for breakfast now for at least six months. Now, he's decided he doesn't want it. At all. It's the stuff that first disappeared in supply chain issues so now I have about $75 worth of it in my cat food stash. He's not rejecting it like he wants something different, it's like he's just not up for food first thing in the morning any more.

The guy at the pet food store last week remarked that the Stella and Chewy's freeze dried food that I keep in a bowl on the counter for him always, is really all he needs. So maybe that's what we'll do. He has a nice water fountain available. Sure would be easier and cleaner and less smelly.

No plans for today. Maybe laundry. Maybe sewing. Fer sure baseball and crocheting.

I've been curious about Britbox. Is it similar to Netflix or Hulu? I enjoy Call the Midwife. In my research, PBS doesn't know if they'll pick up the next 2 seasons.

The trials & tribulations with pet food! We've struggled with our dogs. The one that remains is less picky than the one we lost a couple years ago but since she's lost about half her teeth, she struggles with kibble, so we're finishing what's left of her bag & transitioning to canned food. Hopefully, she won't incur digestive issues. It seems as she's aged, her system gets unbalanced easily.

Oh, we also have commentators who can't shut up for ten seconds. Thankfully the ones doing the Queen's show (which I watched too) were of the better sort who realise we can see that there's a horse on the screen. The only irritating thing about the show was that it was broadcast on ITV, which meant ad breaks. I know it's old-fashioned of me, but I kind of feel big national pageantry should be on the BBC. :P
