My new blender+food processor arrived and it’s a beauty. Well worth the counter real estate. I sliced and diced and julienned some carrots. But, I’m excited to try orange juice. (And, of course, milk shakes, etc.)
One really weird joy with this was the packaging. I'm so used to boxes in boxes and packing peanuts and foam inserts and plastic shapes and a giant pile o' trash when everything is unpacked.
This was simplicity itself. There was not one bit of extraneous anything. 1 box. 2 cardboard shaped holders of of bits. and a small bag around each piece - just the size of that piece. When I was done I had the tiniest pile of all recyclable stuff. It was really impressive.
My Nest cams have been down all day. I did the usual rebooting, double checking, googling, swearing and nada. So Twittered out to Google who at least asked questions. Assuming their next one would be to reboot the modem, I figured I'd go ahead and ask my ISP to do that. They are great about responding on Twitter. But, the response I got back was that they were aware of issues in my area and working on them. Well, ok then. Now I'm very grateful that whatever the issues are they are only affecting the cameras! The rest of my internet is fine.
I started out testing Google docs for an entry editor but ran into a couple of snags really quickly. The big showstopper for me is links. They offer no way to add attributes. I have this thing about links. I want all the links I provide to open a new window or tab (depending on your setting). I do not want you to click on a link and leave the page you are on.
So now I'm back in my note app which actually works fine. And syncs across devices so I have the same content pretty much everywhere. That's the kind of thing I like.
I did a load of laundry and I think I'll go put away that part of it that Biggie is not currently lying on.
