I am generally grateful for so very much. Multiple times every day, I'm struck by how lucky and fortunate I am. Today is a day when I need to ramp that up to divert my focus from all the broken things in the world around me.

My twitter feed might really catch my monitor on fire this morning.

I don't have much on the agenda today. I fixed my tires yesterday. I have food aplenty so no need to go get more. No need, really to go out and do anything and the sun is too bright anyway.

I might clip Biggie's nails today. But, that will depend on his cooperation. He's off somewhere just now taking an early nap.

I finished reading A Thousand Pardons by Jonathan Dee - it was excellent. I do appreciate a story teller who moves the story along like he does. And, I appreciate my library where not one, not two but three holds came in just this morning. I sent one back for more holding (a very cool feature). But I have reading wealth today.

Season 3 of The Spit has started. The first two of 6 episodes have dropped and the others will drop every Thursday. I will likely wait a week or so or maybe all of them to watch. I started the last season of Goliath (prime) and I don't love it but I've gotten this far, might as well finish.

Biggie's awake. I think we'll try that nail clipping.

BTW, one of Stephen King's latest, Billy Summers, is a good story well told. (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/56852407-billy-summers)

King has a very recognizable writing style. He uses a kind of leitmotif where he finds a phrase or idea and repeats it throughout the book. I can not, of course, think of a single example but I'd recognize his style anywhere.

He changed his style in this novel. Only once did I see the repetition of phrase that is his signature. It is actually pretty remarkable that he can be such a chameleon. Part of what makes this fun is that it contains so much of King's wonderful storytelling while being almost unrecognizable King prose.

The side slaps to Trump are pretty funny too.
