My Task Rabbit person is to be here at 10 am to pick up the recliner. I do hope she shows. I have had pretty good luck with Task Rabbiters and am not even entirely sure why I expect her to let me down. We'll know for sure in an hour and a half.

My Washington State COVID warning app warned me. On Thursday or Friday of this week, a person I was year has tested positive for COVID. 1. Thank you, person, for reporting it. I hope you feel better soon. 2. On Thursday and Friday, I came within 6 feet of another person for more than 3 minutes exactly 1 time and that was at grocery store where I was N95 masked. So, I'm not terribly worried about this exposure. It is such a good reminder to still mask up, though.

I am feeling my age more and more every day and night. I wake up several times a night because however I am lying is causing something to hurt and I need to switch positions. It's harder and harder to go from sitting to standing (in fairness that's way more likely to be because of fat and outofshapeness than old age, tho). Going up stairs is painful. Going downstairs is scary. Most of this is real but a lot of it is mental. I'm old and I know it and so expect issues.

Like heat. NFW am I going outside today, tomorrow, or Monday. On Tuesday, the heat is supposed to dissipate so maybe. And really, this is ridiculous. Seattle heat is like everyone else's cool spell. But still, our ridiculously young and uninformed TV weather people say the elderly should take precautions. Hilariously, this is the only time I even believe them.

But if you need me, I'll be inside here. Because I'm old.

Nothing special planned. I have TV to watch and a good book to read and a crochet project. All is under control.

Just waiting for the TRabbit.

I am really fortunate that the drugs I take routinely at night help me sleep. It wasn't intentional that they would aid that, but I can't take them during the day because they make me drowsy. So it just worked out that way.

Hope the TaskRabbit gal shows up soon.

That Covid app sounds interesting, but I don't have a smartphone, so it's not for me.

How'd task rabbit go?
that might be useful for us to use as we get going.

I sat next to someone with Covid last Thursday, unmasked. They tested positive on Friday and we had to do contact tracing. A few folks popped positive, but I am so glad I was ok.

She's so cheap! can you hire her outside of TRabbit so she gets more of the cash?

As far as Covid, yeah i wonder if I haven't gotten it already and it was nothing to me? Between the cruises and the travel to Chicago, Charleston and Dallas last year.

Not related to this post, per se, but I'm at the library and googled "Dreamwidth," and the first hit at the site itself (4th down) is your page here. :D Then the general dreamwidthery is indented below yours. You haven't even been over here that long--- testimony to your following, no doubt!

Do you find the aches and pains ease once you've got up and been moving around? I can barely get dressed after I wake up, but half an hour or so later it has already improved.

I hear you on the aging thing. My "preferred" sleeping position is on my left side (long habit, also has to do with relative position with respect to the other person in the bed), but I've discovered that if I lie on my left side for more than an hour or so my left hip starts to hurt and I have to turn over.
