If my air conditioner dies, so will I. Of course, that's not true but I worry. I just looked at hotels in the neighborhood to see who allows cats. Nobody. Poor Biggie.

Today is the Pride Parade downtown. Fried gays. I feel badly for them after the pandemic to have to hold their parade in this heat and sun. I hope there are survivors. I had given a passing thought, before the weather change, to riding my scooter up to the parade route but nope. I'm not leaving this house until Tuesday.

Check this out - tomorrow - scorching, Tuesday - ok, but look at Wednesday! wild.

On Tuesday, I have a Mariners game - it's at night so it will be fine and comfortable.

But that's not the only baseball of the week. Yesterday, I discovered, on Twitter, that we have a summer collegiate baseball team in White Center (south but not too far from here and the home of my Popeye's as well as my Dollar store). The Dub Sea Fish Sticks! Go Sticks!! I pinged Frank to see if he was up for it (how much do I love having a friend who loves baseball AND fried chicken??!!). And we are set for Friday night. Tickets in hand. Popeye's in sight. It's supposed to be hot and sunny but the Sticks promise shade.

I'm jazzed.

Biggie was bugging the shit out of me this morning so finally, I stopped and got out the laser and the feather and wore him out. Now he's napping and I can internet in peace. Thanks, bud.

I think it should be illegal for the temperature to get over 30C/86F ever. Apart from in actual ovens! Maybe saunas are exempt too. At least they're voluntary.

I always thought Seattle had a wet mild climate roughly comparable to most of England. I looked at the climate graphs on wikipedia for Seattle and Birmingham and it is pretty similar, but you have drier summers and wetter winters. And I saw you hit a horrible 108 °F (42 °C) this time last year. I'm crossing my fingers for you and your AC!

I wonder if it's frequency - I heard somewhere it rains about 1 in 3 days here, and that seems about right for the whole year. It doesn't often rain very hard, but the sky is grey more than it's blue, so I see why foreigners think it's endless rain! Maybe it's the same where you are.

I'll become a politician and make it my whole thing :)

Biggie was bugging the shit out of me...

My cats bad behavior (opening closets, whining, begging, trying to eat non-food items, biting) can be laid squarely at the doorstep of me not playing with them enough. I play with them, the bad behavior goes away.

climate change. It's 93 here I'm not going to any parades or anything else (actually our pride parade was yesterday.) Everyone should prepare for a hot summer. It makes me very angry when the weather folks wax rhapsodic about the 'hot summer weather' chances are they work in an air-conditioned studio, and ride there and back to their air-conditioned apartments or houses in an air-conditioned car. where I am, the hallways are so warm that the doorknobs feel warm to the touch when you put your hand on one to go out.

New here (hii!).

I live in Washington too not in King county but Pierce county and boy YES it is hot. I just don't want there to be any surprise heat days like last year with that heat dome.

I didn't think I'd ever say I'd be jealous of your 91 tomorrow. We're expecting 102 in eastern Oregon

It suddenly got hot this weekend! We saw 90 come around today. At least it cools down in the evening. My brain stops functioning around 80.
