Last night's game was pretty fabulous. I had great seat neighbors. (I haven't seen the people who own the seats to my right in a while - they keep selling their tickets.) It was 0-0 until the bottom of the 8th inning. A combination of unusual things put men on base and then Jesse Winker, who was at the center of Sunday's brawl, stepped up to the plate and brought two of them home. It was scripted baseball at its best and the crowd went wild.

My next game is Sunday afternoon and so far, fingers crossed, the weather is promising to be cool and cloudy.

This morning I woke up to a text that my new recliner is ready for delivery!!! The instructions were to call and arrange for payment and pickup. At 6:30 am????? Yeah, nope. I tried. Guess what? All I got was the obligatory demand I listen because their options hae changed. Honestly, I think companies should be fined big bucks to include those instructions on their stupid voice mails which are always too long anyway. But, whatfuckingever.

I'm sure that in a few hours, when the store opens, they will contact me. And, because of whatever, they will not be able to deliver it until next week and between 8-4 - "you will need to have an adult present in order to receive delivery".

At least I'm ready. And it's still way ahead of the 10-14 months they promised me when I ordered it in December.

I got a call this morning from SteveTheLawyer. He's on the way to Chase Bank. Chase has been particularly unhelpful in granting him his legal access to my cousin's accounts and safe deposit box. He's ready to tear them a new one. In as much as a sweet, kind, god fearing/god loving Christian small town lawyer ever tears anyone a new one but still. He's not happy.

Then he's going by the house to check on things. He's lined up a contractor and a realtor. He's actually using them on another estate that is farther along in the process than we are. He expects, within the next couple of weeks, to have a couple of estimates. If we spend x, we can list it at y. OR if we spend xx, we can list it (and expect to get) yy. Then we'll proceed from there.

He's going to call me back when he gets done at Chase. He keeps calling me while he's driving. This is efficient but 1 the signal is crap so I only get about every other word and 2. DUDE! pay attention to driving and don't call me until you get there! But, god will look after him. I just hope he's not going to tech him a lesson with a crash.

I sat at last night's game trying on the idea of not doing that any more after this summer. And I think I'm ok with it. It's been great. I've loved going. But, I think, if I re-upped for next year, I'd go to every game thinking nice but it is 2x nicer than past years? And, I'd be disappointed. I can't see spending that kind of money to be disappointed all summer!

So I'm fine with my divorce decision.

The weather last night was perfection. I even had to put on my fleece hoodie. So much better than 90 degrees. This morning we have clouds and a predicted high of 67. FINE by me!

Ok, just got an email from La-Z-Boy saying to call them. Still not there. My business is very important to them.

That must be a tough decision about the baseball but it sounds like it is getting way too expensive.

Yippee the chair date is getting closer! (I hope you get thru to them.)

I feel for SteveTheLawyer. When I was the executor for a close friend I completely lost my shit at the bank when they called me by her name. The teller fled and sent back someone who actually knew WTF an estate account is and that my being there meant I had lost someone special.

Sorry about the baseball. Maybe you could buy your neighbor's tickets for one game from them and get a solo game that would be comfortable, but not if it's illegal or anything. I know very little about sports . . .

YAY about your recliner! Hope it gets there soon. :)

100% on the stupid “our options have changed” messages. No they haven’t you big stupid liar heads! That’s just your annoying way of forcing me to listen because they MIGHT have changed.

Ugh, I'm sorry you're having major problems getting ahold of la-z-boy to schedule your delivery; so frustrating!

How I wish I had someone like that lawyer to do the footwork when the time comes for my mom as I don't live nearby & I can't keep traveling back & forth. I dread it.
