i think Biggie may be ok. But, clearly, something's going on. He spent a long time in my lap yesterday. Last night he curled up next to me on the bed while I read my book. He hasn't done this in a while. Then in the middle of the night, he left (which is standard for when he does sleep with me) but then came back which he never does and was there this morning.

I put out fresh food for him last night which he did not touch. But, this morning, when we got up, he dove into that same now uggy crusty food. I replaced it with new and he continued eating. He also, however, ignored the treats I put into his puzzle. I wonder if we are done with Temptations.

Instead of digging the treats out, he climbed back into my lap and trapped me for an hour. Now he's watching birds. No throwing up since yesterday. I'm on watch.

Which I can do with my feet up because I have split the bottom of my big toe. ARUGH. It started hurting last night but I couldn't see anything wrong. Then this morning, it really hurt and there's a nice bloody crack right down the center. Thankfully, I have a nice stock of hydrocolloid bandages and even a gel toe cover left over from when I had the ingrown toenail.I guess this is the end of barefoot summer around here. At least for a while.

And just now I found a purple bruise (ugly but doesn't hurt) on my wrist that is the size of a quarter. NO idea where or how I got that. Nothing says old lady than these senile purpura on hands and arms.

On the up side, a year's free GrubHub food delivery was added to Amazon prime! This is kind of big. They deliver from a lot of restaurants around here. Delivery fees have now risen past my comfort point so free works nicely. Thanks, Amazon! (you have to opt in. they will add a charge after a year so i put a reminder on my calendar to be sure and cancel next july)

I was going to run a couple of errands today but, I'm not wild about walking much on this busted toe plus, I do want to keep an eye on the Bigster so maybe I'll just hang here.

I started two new series yesterday. Dropout (Hulu) and Ozark (Netflix) plus I have two good books going and am still working on the mammoth crochet project so plenty to do that does not require my big toe. So plenty of stuff to do right here.

I'm glad Biggie's doing okay. Hopefully it was just his first hairball! (Is that more like losing your first tooth, or getting your first hangover?)

I hope your toe gets better soon too, that sounds so annoying! Good luck with the crochet :)

Amazon has rechargeable battery packs for reclining furniture. Also, how long has it been since his last injury? Was it a year? Hope he is doing well.

Cracked feet seems to be an old lady thing too. Because she has arterial disease, I bought my Mum a machine that basically sends little electric shocks up your legs to improve your circulation. (It was amazingly successful! Two weeks after she started using it, I took her in for surgery on a narrowed vein and it had improved so much they sent her home without the surgery. Now she can walk without the leg hurting, which is incredible.) Just this week she started getting pain in one foot using the machine, like the electric shocks were too strong for comfort. She thought there was something wrong with the machine, but the machine people said it was because she had a crack in her foot and that this was really common. Sure enough, much moisturiser-slathering later she can use the machine again without a problem.
