oh what a night
Jul. 9th, 2022 08:55 amMajor League Baseball started, a couple of years ago, throwing games on YouTube and Apple+ TV every week. Every team gets it a couple of times a season. This year it's Apple+ and last night was our second time. The first time sucked eggs. The sound was off and the feed was weird and the announcers were ... well, it sucked.
So last night,I was ready for more of the same and totally disappointed. The feed was fine. The sound was weird but only for the advertisements. When they came on, the volume dropped a lot. It was very pleasant. And the announcers were also very pleasant and interesting. It was a 2-2 tie for most of the game. And then extra innings. I would have fallen asleep except the announcers kept it really interesting. Finally in the 11th at 11:30, the Mariners won. Whew.
For a moment, I felt sorry for Blue JaI ys fans- especially those in Toronto. They spent all day with no internet or phone or tv. And then, when it comes back on last night, they had to stay up until the very wee hours to see their team lose. But it was only a moment. I got over it. We have two more games to play against them.
So I slept late. But it does not matter. I'm kind of house bound this morning. There's a big soccer game (Seattle vs Portland) starting at 1 and leaving the garage to go anywhere before the games starts would be ok only if I stayed gone until after 1. I was going to pop over to Goodwill - I have stuff to drop off and a couple of things on my shopping list, but it's silly to go on the weekend anyway.
I have plenty to do here. Plus, Prime has a bunch of channels up for cheap again. $.99 a month for two months. That's such a great way to catch up on programs cheaply. But, at this point, I have subscriptions to just about everything and just need more time to watch!
I do want to make some breakfast burritos today. My great idea to have cereal for breakfast and egg/cheese burritos for dinner kind of failed. I like cereal but it's not my favorite breakfast food. I need a new plan but I need burritos to munch on while I think about it.
Also I need a shower. But, first... treadmill.
