A while back I was whining about the lack of a decent app to track streaming services and the shows I wanted to see. My brother chimed in with his method that included a notebook and pen. DOH. Not something I had actually considered. But, why the fuck not?? seattlejo knowing how much I love random swag, had given me a cute little hand sized notebook some time ago. I had never found the perfect use for it until my brother laid out his analog scheme.

I've been using it now for about a month and it is CLEARLY the exact app I was looking for.



The side tabs are all streaming services. When I hear about something that sounds interesting, it goes on the list under the appropriate tab. The top tabs are WATCH NEXT. The first page has the list of all the services, what I'm currently paying for, how much, and until when. The bookmark is what I'm watching now.

I just finished up The Split (fab in every single way). So I'm done with Sundance/AMC. I canceled it and the others that had nothing of interest coming up soon. I paid for a year of Acorn, Britbox and Apple + . And,, of course, Prime. I get Netflix and my brother gets HBO and we share. I just put Hulu on hold for 12 weeks (maybe less) there's a couple of things I might want to see coming up in August. There are several There are several things I want to see on Peacock but one doesn't start until August and I have other stuff to watch. So I'll hold off for now.

But, at last I have a system that is systematic!! And works for me. My own app. Yeah!!

The little online poll that the condo guy continues its low level action with impressive symmetry. Right now it's 14 yes. 14 no. 6 undecided. The venting emails continue at a comfortable clip. Not too many, not too few. Many years ago I started asking for an online forum for us. I suggested several low cost/free options and offered to set it up and run it. Every year as a new board was elected, I offered again. I never got more than a 'we'll think about it and let you know' answer. I still wish we had one.

You can't beat a notebook. I tried tons of To Do apps before happily settling on a notebook from the dollar shop with "Ready Your Good Plan" on the cover.

That notebook is a darned good idea, I may well adopt it myself for films and series I want to see. I'm not sure how many tabs I'll need, max of ten I think for the streaming services and the TV channels I watch. Thanks for the idea! 📺

An online forum is a good idea. I don't know why they don't allow you to go forward with it, especially considering you'd be running it!

I like your streaming tracker! Every time we finish a season of something I tell my husband, we need to write it down somewhere so we know to watch for the next season, as sometimes they are so far down the line we forget which season we are on/what episode we last watched
