Jul. 24th, 2022 02:17 pmThe baseball game is on the TV. The air conditioner is running. The sliding glass door makes no noise. And yet, when I open the door, Biggie wakes up from his nap which is in the closet in the next room, 70 yards away to see if maybe this time I'll let him out.
He never tries hard but he does try every single time. It's been 10 months since he took his flying leap over the balcony railing.

YET! Cats clearly have selective hearing. Like humans, they don't hear or, more likely, choose not to hear humans calling for them.
