I was in my seat at the game watching the Rangers finish their batting practice when my phone rang. A small group of can't-we-go-back=to-in-person-meetings had advertised they would meet in the lobby and zoom into the condo meeting from there. But, of course, no one thought about needing wifi until 5:30 when they called me. (not an unreasonable call since i set up the router and cams in the lobby originally but that was a couple of HOA boards ago) I told them that I no longer knew the password since the building manager told me the board said no (never sure of what that was all about). The person who arranged the meeting in the lobby without the wifi is on said board. Biting you own ass?

That was at 5:30. The meeting was to have started at 6. I forgot to check until about 9 when I looked in on the lobby cam... still going strong. I looked again about 9:45 and the lobby was empty.

No emails this morning so far so no clue what happened but I am sure it was painful.

The game last night was good. My seat neighborhood was meh. The guy in front of me had the biggest head and neck on the planet. VERY difficult to see around or through.

The guy on my right was huge and hot (as in temperature not looks). The guy on my left had a 9 inning stretch of restless leg syndrome and kept the leg next to mine bouncing the entire game. They were both nice enough but not very interesting. And it was hot. Not sun-in-your-face hot but just hot. It finally got a little comfortable about 9ish but still hot. When I opened the door to my own house and it's air conditioning, I was soooooo grateful to get home. We did win the game which was nice. But, I'm ok with watching the games, for the next few weeks, on my TV.

One of my holds at the library came up last night while I was at the game. I had started a book the night before but it wasn't grabbing me. So, I figured I'd listen to this new one for a few minutes before I went to sleep. My brother had strongly recommended it. But he loves everything Don Winslow writes. I love some of it, but some not so much. It was an hour before I could turn City of Fire off and go to sleep. I have don't have a good feel for the plot yet but the writing and the narration alone makes the first hour of the book delicious.

I wrote to the vet about adopting. When I first adopted Biggie, the Humane society said he had feline leukemia. He tested negative several times after that. But the emergency vet, last December, still thought he had it. So just to be triple sure, I wrote to the vet asking about the safety of bringing in another cat. I haven't heard back. I sent a message to a woman looking to rehome a 4 month old kitten. I haven't heard back. So I think I might not take a kitty shopping trip today.

I think I'll just stay here and stay cool.

A 4 month old kitten will keep Biggie hopping!

Too bad about the biggest head and neck guy in front of you.

haha 100%. Short sighted decisions impact them later.
