There was hissing

susandennisBiggie and I got up as usual. I did the treadmill. Biggie waited tapping his paw and finally. Breakfast. I did not even check on Julio until Biggie got everything he wanted.
Julio did great. He ate every single morsel of wet and dry food and he kicked his litter all over everywhere. I did replace the litter box with this very nifty travel one which did cut the mess in half. I refilled his food bowls and zipped him back up and then the fun began.
He came out to eat and stayed out. Biggie got down, nose to mesh. Julio did not scamper back into his whale. He stayed right there in front of Biggie. There was hissing but it was so quiet, I couldn't tell who. Then more staring for about 15 minutes. Then a little more hissing. This time I think it was Biggie. But it wasn't I'm-Going-To-Get-You hissing it was more like "I can hiss, wanna hear? It goes something like this...hssss" And then more staring.
And then they stopped. Julio went back into the whale and Biggie went to his nap spot in the bedroom. The end.
Next episode probably in a couple of hours.
I ordered each of them a cat toy this morning because this house hasnone more than it has room for already but neither of these two. I ordered it on Amazon at 7:45 am. I just got an Amazon beep. It's 8:30 now and the package was just delivered. I wonder if they shipped it before I ordered it!
Amazon annoys me sometimes. But mostly, it makes my life better, easier and way more fun.
I keep closed captioning on for all my TV. It's just easier. A few months ago - May? April? - closed captioning for baseball games just disappeared. Actually for all of that channel. It worked great everywhere else, just not that channel. It worked on that channel on the other TiVo but not on the living room one. For a while. Then it worked on that channel for everything, including commercials but not the baseball game. I tweeted about it copying both my cable provider and the channel broadcaster. NotOurFault was all I got back. Then I decided life is too short and it's not like I'm missing a major plot point.
Then night before last, I'm watching the game and was getting annoyed that the closed captioning was blocking the batters' heads. Wait? What??? The Closed Captioning was working again!!!! It was still working last night. weird and fine by me.
The Mariners are playing in Houston. They always lose in Houston and the first two of these four games are no different. depressing. But, in the middle of last night's game they bought a big time pitcher from Cincinnati. Everybody's all jacked up about thi. I was still on the close captioned high so - meh. We still have two more games to lose in Houston. Then we play the Yankees. I don't even want to think about it.
I am over the sun and heat. It's now 9 am and the sun is trying to break through my insulating blinds. Seattle belongs to clouds and rain and I want them back. Please. The worst of it is only supposed to last one more day but that's actually two days longer than my temper will allow.
Julio agrees with me. He's awake and drinking some water. Whew. I always worry about cats not getting enough water. Oh and now he's checking out the new toy I put in there while he was sleeping.
