Dirty

Hot town, summer in the city
Back of my neck getting dirty and gritty
Been down, isn't it a pity
Doesn't seem to be a shadow in the city
All around, people looking half-dead
Walking on the sidewalk, hotter than a match head

I think feeling dirty is what I hate most about the hot. I haven't taken a shower yet today but I know minutes after I will feel dirty again. Ugh.

I took the munchkin into the bathroom for a romp and he hid behind the toilet for the whole time. I let him stay there while I played games on my phone sitting on the floor in is line of site. Finally it was clear he wasn't going to romp and it was getting hot so I put him back in the lounge

He is getting strong and frisky, though. When I pick him up now, he no long curls into a ball in my hand. Now he tries to jump down and escape.

I treadmilled - the last fresh Jeopardy for six weeks. Sigh. I have some backup stuff recorded in case the jeopardy place holder sucks.

Siesta time in the lounge. But, instead of burrowing way back in there, he's in the front so he can keep an eye on whatever is happen'.



Dreamwidth has an excellent search engine which LiveJournal did not. I spent many clicks this morning looking for it only to remember that I put a search box into my theme so that it's there on my journal page and my reading page whenever I want it. DOH

I guess I'll go take a shower so I can give the dirty a rest.
