Less than a week, actually

susandennisI got home with Julio last week about 2 pm on Wednesday. Julio broke out of his lounge this morning about 11. And it's been hiliarious hijinks ever since.
He was out about 5 minutes before Biggie noticed. There was head sniffing and butt sniffing and back sniffing and a repeat of all three and then there was a kiss.
They had a couple of high speed Nascar chases around the living room - Julio in the lead. Already he's wearing out Biggie but when he does, Biggie just hops up somewhere that Julio can't get to and watches from there. When he's on the ground, Julio goes up to him and rolls over on his back in front of him. Biggie has actually done a little Julio grooming.
They have stayed here in the living room with me watching the Yankees LOOOOOOOSE to the Mariners in a game that really wasn't close. But really was sweet.
I haven't quite figured out how to manage Julio outside the lounge. I kinda would like to keep him zipped up in there for at least one more night but that may not be possible. He hasn't noodled out how to get back in to his food and litter box so if he's out, they need to be out, too. So far, he's sticking close to Biggie and that may be the savior.
Now Biggie's on the white chair and Julio's doing his best to get Biggie to chase him. It's almost working. OMG they are hilarious.
Guess I'll unpack the lounge and set up his food/litter box and whale up in the outside world. It's now 1:15. Still not even a full week since he got here. What a week!!
In non cat news, my neighbors next door have been doing a big reno and the workers left the door open so I got to go in and look around today. Mainly they stole space out of the main bedroom to turn the half bath into a full bath with walk in shower. It's lovely. And the closed off the front room so now they have two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Nice upgrade. They bought the unit years ago for their office (insurance broker) but then he had a stroke. Their big house (in Bellevue) has stairs so when he came home from the hospital they moved all the office stuff out and moved in. I wonder if they sold their house. They are Japanese but he was born in what is now a hotel that you used be able to see from our terraces (until they built the apartment building across the street). I'm guessing he's maybe close to my age so in the early 50's. Nice nice peops.
