Julio was a maniac last night. My new pillow was a little too stuffed (happily, it's one made so you can adjust the stuffing so it's already fixed for tonight). I lay there listening to his bells bounce off the walls. At one point, I went to turn onto my side and ooops! there was Biggie! I hadn't heard or felt him. And I accidentally hit him (not hard) and he left (at least he didn't bite which he used to do).

I still couldn't get to sleep but it was fine. Soon enough Biggie came back followed by Julio and there was much wrestling and carrying on, on the bed, on me. Twice Julio stepped on the button that turns on the bedside lamp. (I've always hated that lamp anyway and today it gets replaced.) It was just a bed circus.

Finally everything calmed down. And everyone, even me, went to sleep. But Julio was snuggled up next to me and I was afraid I was going to squish him so I didn't sleep great. About 4 am I woke up to Biggie giving Julio a complete body bath. After that they both went back to sleep, but I didn't. Oh well. I did enjoy lying there with the two of them in the quiet so all was not lost.

Julio now can and will get up on everything except the top of the walls. So far Biggie's safe zone, but I'm thinking that has a clock on it, too.

He helps Biggie with his toy puzzle except 'help' has a different meaning for him.

And is being trained as a professional bird lookout.

But right now, Biggie is having some welcome alone time. Julio is sacked out on the sofa on his fleece throw. Biggie got a second breakfast because Julio ate his first one. And now he's up on the kitchen cabinets to he can watch everything he needs to. All is calm for now.

Back when she was a new mother, I heard Cameron Manheim interviewed. She said when she was trying to come up with names for her son she thought about what it would sound like when she called him into dinner or was scolding him or any of the other scenarios that would be playing out in the future. That was not my process for naming Julio but it is sure a fun name to call out when looking for him. "WhoooooleeeeeOOOOOOOO!" (Milo. She named her baby, Milo. Wikipedia tells me he's now 21.)

It's still cool out and is only supposed to get up to 74 today. I feel like I should get out and take advantage. So I think I'll make a Costco run. I'm getting perilously low on bacon and I could use some gas and steps. So even though Fridays are the smartest Costco day, I'll set my expectations and just do it anyway. If it's too nuts, I can bail.

The game isn't until 7 pm. They are playing the Angels. The last time they played the Angels, they got into a 30 minute brawl. Tonight should be interesting. I had a ticket for Sunday but Sunday's predicted to be 88 and sunny (my seat catches full sun until about the 8th inning). I sold my ticket, made a profit and will enjoy the game in sun-free air conditioning comfort.

My living room looks like a cat toy store threw up in it. I guess I'll be living with it for a few weeks and clean it all up before my company arrives on the 30th. But, I do need to clean up the kitchen and make a dumpster run.

There will be more kitty hijinks. For now, they are resting up.

Is there such a think as over collaging? A collage too far?

Please. Post ALL the pictures, every time you post. I just love your kitties and the way Julio 'helps' his big brother.

No such thing as too many pictures of these two, or too many stories.

There is no such thing as too many cat photos. Ever!

And - there will come a time when Biggie will have NO place to escape. Julio will soon grow into the ability to get wherever he wants!

Juuuullliiiooo! Is adorable. I am sure his little pea brain is also saying you can sleep when you’re dead. Hope you get a more restful night tonight.

Well, it looks like they're a family now.

"My living room looks like a cat toy store threw up in it" is a most felicitous sentence.
