I'm RICH!!! temporarily
Aug. 22nd, 2022 06:52 amThe money for the condo assessment and the air conditioning landed in my bank account this morning. Man, I'm totally rich right now. Cash rich. I feel like someone's going to come after me for money laundering (yes, I'm back to watching Ozark - the final season... ) I don't have to pay out anything until November so I'm going to be rich for several months. You can call me Ms. Moneybags.
Meanwhile, I think the portable air conditioner knows his future is short. It kept turning off this morning. I thought maybe Julio had stepped on the power switch but then it happened when he was on the other side of the room. Finally I realized it was no longer happy with the power strip so I used a better power extender and now it seems ok. One more month. That's all I ask. One more month. PLEASE.
This morning I woke up to find Julio snuggled next to me. I stroked him and he snuggled harder and then I heard him purr. It's the first time I've heard him. We snuggled and purred for a good 30 minutes.
I have moved my cheap little Wyze cams to the floor and bought their service. It has pet tracking. Yesterday I watched Biggie and Julio go from place to place throughout the house. I'm addicted. If I eye-watch them, they know I'm there and act accordingly. If I cam-watch them, they do what they want. I discovered that they are getting in and out of the spare litter box but not using it. They both use the other one. (I took a bowl and exchanged litter. If they are not going to use the second one, I guess I don't need it. Happily, it does break down totally flat for storage. I'll leave it for now. Who knows what will happen as Julio moves out of Kittenhood.
He is getting big. I remember when he was hand sized. Ok, he just hopped up here on top of my crochet project, right next to my chair. Soooo adorable.

Yesterday, Biggie climbed into the cat tree that is way too small for him. But it's such good bird watching. I have ordered one for him. It's due to arrive while my brother is here but if it misses, I can snare my nephew (who will be stopping back after their cruise) into helping me put it together. So, hang in, Bigs. Just a few more weeks.

Today's big project is shipping the broken computer. FedEx has the box out for delivery. FedEx usually gets here about noon-ish. There's a FedEx drop off with good parking not terribly far from here. So my plan is to pack it up and somehow wrestle it to the car and drive it there and somehow wrestle it inside. Oh, I just remembered a better place - Office Depot and I'll bet they would have a handy hand truck I could use. Plus, I need batteries. Ok, settled. Office Depot it is. (And, yep, school supplies leftovers on sale for the win.)
There's no baseball game today which is fine since they lost two games this weekend to a team that is having a massively crap year. At least we made their tens of fans happy.
So there will be more money laundering tips from Ozark and maybe some crocheting but maybe not if this continues. Another shot of Julio on top of the project? Yes, please!
