susandennisMy tv/internet bill went up $40 this month because some promotions expired. My great contact, Katie, now has a different job so I called to see what deals they had. I was through the telephone tree and out on a limb where I had to explain what I wanted twice, when I was dumped. I called back and held for a while until I just said fuck it and sent a note to Katie anyway. She got right back to me with two deals that will save me $35 and change every month for a year. I'm ok with that but very dismayed at the telephone situation. They are not my only option so next year...
FedEx delivered my box at noon. And for the first time ever, brought it up here to my door! Usually they dump their deliveries in the garage. It held foam exactly made for my unit. Boxing it and labeling it was not such a big deal. Getting down to the car was a bit of a hassle but it fit in with inches to spare.
Office Depot is such a sad sad sad place. It's been about a hundred years but I still do remember it in its glory. I haven't been in there in about five years and the last time, it was sad. Now it is sadder. They had a handful of school supplies which were all exorbitantly priced. The FedEx desk could not print out a receipt (our system is down). So I took a picture of the clerk with my box. On the up side, the label was for 2 day shipping. So maybe I'll hear something by the weekend.
On the way home, I got stopped by a really long freight train. One way around it happened right by McDonald's. And lo and behold, a chocolate milk shake landed in my hands. Nice treat because it was way too sunny and hot out.
I'm glad to be home with nowhere else I need to go.
Biggie is napping and Julio is looking for trouble. I'm going to watch some Ozark and crochet.

When i found out that the family connection was no more, i figured i can finally dump home depot and their politics. except, they are so damn handy. hardware woes that have zero to do with office depot!
