I have a ticket to the Mariner game today but I have it on Stubhub to sell for $475. If I can sell it, I'll watch the game from here and if not, I'll go. I'd rather have the cash but I'm ok with going to the game, too. So best of all. I have another ticket on Saturday which I am not selling. It's a special Ichiro day and I don't want to miss it. But, tonight, I'm ok with missing especially if it means cash. I have the scooter charging up, just in case.
The Stubhub thing is interesting. I've been watching it this morning and tickets are going at a good clip. Four Diamond Club tickets sold this morning. Right now the only Diamond Clubs left are two listed for $540 each and two listed for $1,620* each and mine.
*The $1,620 tickets belong to an every-game package. (Mine is a 20 game package.) They are listed at that price or above for every game. I suspect they have sold at that price once or twice this year. I always mean to check closer to game time to see if the price comes down. The owner paid an average of $350 each for those seats. Not a bad profit if you can get it! (I paid an average of $270 for my seat so I'm not crying either.)
Tweedledum and Tweedledee are under the bed planning their next adventure. The move to cans of Fancy Feast has worked out fine. The cans themselves do not cut my fingers like those damn plastic petites and while Biggie's not wild about the stuff, he eats it. Julio helps. He knows Julio will eat whatever Biggie does not so Biggie gets his without waiting. There is no wasted food dried in the bowls. Biggie eats more kibble than Julio and they both use the water fountain regularly. So. Yeah. This is working out fine. I still have a $25 credit at the pet food store. I'll use it for kibble or some of those freeze dried treats or toys or something eventually.
I am not a short story reader. But I am currently in the middle of the most fascinating book of short stories. Cat Brushing by Jane Campbell. And I just found the perfect description of it "A rousing and original debut story collection that probes the erotic, emotional, and intellectual lives of elder women, Cat Brushing will be published in the author’s 80th year." I'm wallowing in POV of these thoughtful and insightful women telling their stories. I do wonder how loudly I would have scoffed had I read this when I was much younger.
SteveTheLawyer is making progress with my cousin's estate. He already has an offer on the house and he's not even listed it. A text last night said an inspector and appraiser would be out on site this week and he expects to have it listed in September.
I haven't done my treadmill yet today so I need to get on that. Probably should do it now.
