The Good Sleep

susandennisI was totally comatose when the cats - in excellent teamwork - knocked over the bedside lamp this morning. It was tine. All day yesterday I was sleepy. Really sleepy. I hate day sleeping so much, I just ignored it and figured it would go away. But, I did end up turning out the lights a little before 9 and it took me maybe a half a second to get unconscious. Even with the startling wake up call, I woke up thinking hmmmm, great sleep. The bed sleep tracker gave me a score of 97 and Fitbit chimed in at 89 (Fitbit grades on the curve I think). So for once we are all in agreement.
First thing was I got a text from my nephew. He has COVID. He's due to get on a plane Tuesday and on a cruise ship Friday. He says he feels like it's a cold. The assumption is that he will be negative by Monday. But, if not, the only the only change in their plans is to exclude me from the Seattle part of the visit. My brother and my nephew's wife both have good lungs. I have COPD which is not COVID compatible. There are unknowns and I think my best plan is to assume he will be positive by the time he gets here. My brother's going to need help putting that damn cat tree together.
Last the remote on my TCL Roku TV wasn't working. Plenty of battery but the TV was not responding. And then I noticed a little blockage.
How in the heck can you get mad about that?? Then I remembered the Roku phone app which does not need line of sight so I was able to just let him nap. It was a luxury to watch him and the Byrds at the same time.
I finally got to the end of Ozark. It was a great great series. Right now Justin Bateman is starring in a bunch of Kia commercials that air during the ballgame. Every time, it shakes me up. Marty?? What happened? Where's your real family??
It's cool enough this morning to have the door open and the birds are really throwing some shade into here. Julio is amazed. Biggie is trying not to appear interested.
I'm enjoying a tiny breeze.
I may even pass on the treadmill this morning and go outside. Maybe.
Ha. While I was fast asleep across the street The Weekend who I thought was a band but turns out to be a guy, held a concert at the football field with 70,000 people in attendance. According to the Seattle Times, it was quite the event. I suspect that I might have heard it had the a/c not been on and the door closed and I had been awake.
Ok the bird smack talk may have just ramped up. There may have been a call to action.
I guess I'll get off my butt and get moving.
