I woke up about 3 am and just could not get back to sleep. No reason. No worries. Just no sleep. I tried for about 30 minutes and then I fired up the Kindle and read for 30 - still no sleep. So I got up. Why not. The next couple of weeks will be weird schedule wise (in a good way since it will be due to visitors) so why not get an early start? I'll sleep today if/when I get sleepy. NBD.

But, with the a/c off and the door open, I am reminded once again about how very loud garbage day is at the apartment building across the street. 5:45. It sounds like they are dribbling dumpsters going in for a lay up. At least this morning I wasn't dead asleep trying to get more when the metal started crashing.

The sound is new to Julio who, turns out, is not a big fan.

If the bridge was fixed, I might use this time to go for a swim. I could still go catch a bus. But, I think it will be a treadmill day instead. I am starting to think about swimming since the bridge will be back open in a few weeks. Maybe not every day but maybe.

It's way too early to run my errands. Maybe I'll go treadmill.

at 10:34 it is already 86 degrees. My exercise today consisted of walking up to Hope Cafe with my friend Ann, having cold brew and a southwestern bowl, and coming back. 7K. Enough. I am now in my l.r. with the shades pulled and the air ON. But like you, I take solace in the fact that we are closer to the end of this than the beginning.
