My final portable air conditioner is gone. (I've had a string of them continually since 1999. This year I'm having a heat pump installed.) It's still hot here but not as hot as I think it is, says my brother. I have spent the past two weeks arguing with myself over whether to take advantage of my brother's muscle to get rid of it or keep it for the cool insurance and worry about how to get rid of it in a month. I debated with him and finally asked him to decide. He's a good decisioner. It's gone.

I love having the unobstructed view back and the quiet. And my electric bill will be happy, too.

Also we went through the storage shelves on the terrace and he found lots of stuff there I didn't need and we reorganized the rest. There's tons of space and I can see and get to everything.

AND he fixed my screen door which kept jumping the track.

AND he washed the transom window which is way up high and had streaks from the leak of last winter.

He's a good brother.

We went downtown this morning and had brunch at a place that's been on my list for a while. And then we walked home. I got steps.

We went across the street to the little Sounders store and bought scarves for tomorrow's game. We are now not only ready, we are cool!
