susandennisThe Mariner game was to start at 11. There was a long rain delay and they finally got 4.5 innings in and then there was a longer rain delay. The second part of the game started just as we were about to enter the stadium for the 6 pm soccer game.
We did join the chant and march and scarf waving from the park up the street, right under my terrace and ending at the stadium. Our seats were great. And the match was fun. And the Sounders won 2-1.
I followed the Mariner game on my phone. They were ahead when the soccer game started and then Cleveland tied it and then, finally, the Mariners won in the 11th, just as the Sounders won.
Now we are watching the US Open. Just sports tube jockeys here/
P.S. It is so very handy to live across the street from the stadium.
P.S.S. Last night's restaurant sent me a "how did we do" invitation to review. I gave them a star because it was the minimum requirement. And explained the service and food both sucked. (I was more tactful.) Anyway, tonight I got an email from the general manager offering free dinner for two "(excluding alcohol)". I would not have accepted his offer anyway but that excluding alcohol bit really torqued me.
