quiet but only for a minute

susandennisThe kids are gone. I went over to the hotel to say goodbye. They have a long day ahead of them. And then, when they land, Matt will send his famous text "The good news is, we're home. The bad news is, we live in Iowa."
Cyndi is rooted to that part of the country and he's glued to her so he jokes but he loves it. They are a great couple and fun to be around and fabulous guests.
I got home and had a good 15 minutes of quiet. And then the band at the stadium started. The first official event isn't til 4 and it's just noon.
It's the Seahawks game and it's a BFD for football fans. Quarterback drama. Not so much for me. It will be long and loud and I won't be able to shut the door. At least the game starts at 5 instead of 7 and the Seahawks will likely lose which generally cuts down the post game festivities.
Could be worse. Could also be cooler. What happened to the cool I was promised???
