Hard decision
Sep. 14th, 2022 07:28 amThe ballgame last night was great if you are a San Diego fan. I'm not so... I spent a lot of it trying to decide how badly I wanted to see post season games. I left the game leaning towards buying post season tickets. This morning, I'm back on the fence leaning towards not.
* The tickets are very expensive. $4,600. This buys me, potentially, 1 ticket to 4 play off games and 2 world series games. (All with all food and drink included and a seat 6 rows behind home plate so not SRO.)
* Odds are that the first game won't be played here and that they will have lost out of the running by the third game so really, there will only be two games and none of them will be World Series games.
* This will be my last shot ever. I'm not buying a season ticket again so if they play in the post season, no seat guarantee and definitely no Diamond Club seat.
* The Mariners have not played in post season in more than 20 years. The Mariners are the ONLY team in major league baseball that has never played in the World Series. It could happen and I could be there.
* Being there is fun but you miss a lot not seeing it on TV - the close ups/the commentary. Yes, I could watch the game after I get home from seeing it. But, that's not the same really.
* I have to give them money by next Tuesday if I want in.
Now having written all this, I'm still leaning no. But, we'll see.
It's harder and harder, after a game, to sleep well and wake up refreshed. I did something to a toe that bugged me all night. I woke up at 4:30 and finally got up at 5. The toe did not prevent me from treadmilling and finally some ibuprofen or tylenol or something - I've got to quit taking labels off of bottles - kicked in and it's better now.
I probably won't take Julio to the vet today. I need to wait here until that stupid Dinnerly delivery guy comes. Yesterday he came (and left) about the time I'd be at the vet. We can go tomorrow or next week. Doesn't really matter.
The hierarchy of the cat tree changes several times a day but Julio really is fond of that top spot and Biggie seems pretty ok with it.

Oh and when I went to get the link for that photo, I found this one that I snapped last night. LOVE the sentiment on this guy's hoodie. Seattle rocks.
