Fitbit - one SMART watch
Sep. 16th, 2022 08:24 amGoogle is announcing its new watch in three weeks. I plan on buying one. I'm guessing it will be here by the end of October.
My Fitbit, now 3ish years old, apparently got wind of this and this morning, when I woke up, it was dead. Not totally dead but it would not turn on. Or connect to my phone.
If I can help it, I'm sure not going to treadmill for free. So I got up and made coffee and put the Fitbit on the charger and got out my old one (that I had tried and failed to sell 3 years ago) and put it on its charger and waited. Finally, the current one came alive. For whatever reason, it went unconscious at 1:10 this morning.
Once it was charged, I did the treadmill. I wonder if the Fitbit is going to last until the end of October. I hate it when tech toys get pissy. I'm also considering getting a new phone at the same time. PLEASE to not tell my current phone. Please.
This house is still having a hard time cooling down. It's not horribly hot but it's not cool like it should be either. Right now it's 55 degrees out and 73 in here with the door open. The bedroom is a good deal warmer and I want it all cold!
Today's agenda includes shots. I'm going back over to the Vietnamese pharmacy at 10 in hopes of getting both the old people's flu shot and the latest COVID booster. Fingers crossed.
I have two more episodes of White Dragon (Amazon). This is an excellent show. And then, tonight, another excellent show... baseball! (Excellent, I hope.)

Date: 2022-09-16 05:30 pm (UTC)Hee! I subscribe to this theory! Whenever I would be going on vacation, my coworker would SHUSH me when I would say things like "While I'm away" - she would say "the servers will *hear* you and then they will KNOW that you're not around and they will misbehave!"
EDIT: On the topic of flu shot/covid booster. I recently read an article that indicates that there is some research indicating that "live" virus vaccines like the flu shot are really good at giving you immunity against more than the flu - including covid. One doctor they talked to, said that he was getting flu shots every 4-5 months before the covid vaccine was out - to keep his immune system up and active. So my thinking at this point is to try to stagger my flu shot and covid booster - I'll do my flu shot in early October and then wait until maybe Jan/Feb for my covid booster.
