I spent $58.38 total and got meat, potatoes, grapes and gas. And picked up lots of steps. So... mission accomplished.

Then I mopped the kitchen floor because a kitten knocked a glass of diet dr. pepper over and managed to spill on cupboards and counter and floor. It needed mopping anyway.

I got my last cable TV bill. Not as big as I thought but still too big for what it offers. One thing I will miss is the programming future. TiVo often lists shows that won't be on for yet another month. You can set them to record and forget about it until they pop up on the Recorded list. YouTube.TV only gives me a week. If a show has it's pilot on October 6, I'm sol for now. Which means remembering shit. Not good.

I have until 5 pm tomorrow to decide whether or not to buy the post season tickets.

Every time I think about it, I think OMG, of COURSE you should not miss this golden opportunity!! And then I run the numbers again... $750 per game?? I'm harboring no delusion that they will actually play enough for me to go to more than 1 or 2 but still $750 per? I think I'd really rather have the cash.

When my sister and I worked on cutting the cable, the funny thing is a actually cost about the same. But, it was easier because we were paying for multiple things at different times. It works very well with two paychecks.

At the beginning of the month, we would pay for Netflix and Amazon Prime, along with a few subscription channels on the latter. Then, at the end of the month, we paid for Hulu and the subscription channels we signed up for from there. Even if it cost five bucks more than our cable package did, and made managing money easier

I think it also helps that the payments automatically go through. When we had cable, we didn't bother with auto-pay because there was never any guarantee we would have the money in time. It was best so we wouldn't overdraw the bank account

When I read about a show I want to see starting on some future date, I write it in my desktop calendar (I still use Microsoft Works Calendar from the year dot as it's just a simple calendar page). I was wondering if one of your electronic minions could do that even more easily.
