I did the dumbest thing a smart person can do last night and I think I'll be laughing at me for days to come. I have wifi issues - particularly DNS issues. They are consistently random and have been going on for ages. I have figured out that it is not my client hardware as it happens on different devices. So, it's router or modem and I'm thinking router.

I tried customer service a while back and just got frustrated. Yesterday, I had the issue several times and figured I'd try just rebooting the routers every night. Easy peasy.

I dug out two smart plugs and set them up. Off at 1:30 am. On at 1:32 am. Every night.

Show of hands - how many spot the flaw in my plan?? My hand is not up. But, when Alexa told me she had no internet this morning, my face got a palm.

How is a smart plug going to come back on... with no internet??????

I may go with analog timers but, for now, I'll just do it manually once a day and see if that makes it better. So far, so good this morning.

Today is a home Seahawks game which means mayhem in the neighborhood. We still have about an hour of calm left. It's going to be way too warm to close the door so I'll get the full benefit of living across the street from a football stadium. The last game was fine and this one will be, too. Plus, it's weeks til the next one.

The Mariners game is at 11. They won yesterday finally. They could still lose their way out of the playoffs but it would take a lot of work. But, they are the Mariners so they could do it.

Meanwhile all is fine here at mi casa.
