Hot morning...

Unlike recent mornings, I did not hop out of bed before 6 to pull the shade over the sliding door to the terrace so by the time I did get up to do it, the baking had already started. So my air conditioner is having to work a bit harder than normal this morning to overcome my slothfulness. But she's doing a bang up job.

The air conditioner has done a phenomenal job of keeping this joint comfortable. I do not have to keep the door closed which is great. I have cranked it up to max maybe twice. Mostly, it keeps things spectacularly comfortable with the fan on the lowest setting and the cooling set to 77/78. And it is very quiet. So quiet that I have forgotten to turn it off when I went to bed and had to get back up to do it. Sharp makes it and I'm very impressed.

My friend, Chris is in the car again for the weekend as he is wont to do. He's the ying to my yang. A lot of weekends, he gets into his car and just drives until the weekend is over. A lot of weekends, I won't ever leave this condo and even if I do, I will bend over backwards to avoid driving the car. This weekend, however, he's got some kind of tracker going and I'm watching his progress and it's mesmerizing. But, it seems right now he's stuck in Winnemucca, NV. Maybe he stopped for a late breakfast.

I'm doing laundry. I have work work to do today and I'm giving serious thought to actually getting into the car. I have a short list of about 4 items at 4 different places that I want. But Paula Poundstone is on Wait Wait Don't Tell me (radio show) so I think I'll hold off and wait until 11.

And I need to put up some more puzzles. chrisglass graciously said I could use some of his photos for my puzzles. So I went to his website to poke around.
