But, the main reason for this entry is to report that SteveTheLawyer has risen from the dead!

I finally got a response to my text. He says he's gathering info so that when we talk, he'll have a more complete update.

Certainly a better response than crickets.

Mariner post season tickets go on sale in an hour to Diamond Club members. I got an email yesterday about exactly how to go about ordering.

The instructions are like hokey pokey combines with twister and the whole thing goes to shit if you hold your mouth wrong. Also only one game at a time. So, if you manage to secure your ticket(s) to your game, you get to start all over again for another.

Oh and while all of the emails and texts and information has been about "post season tickets", turns out this does not apply to World Series tickets - that info will come later.

Amazon announced a bunch of new hardware today and while a lot of it sounds good, even I can't justify the purchase. I have an Echo next to an Eero on the counter by the front door. Today they announced that their new (and not even very expensive) Echo's now have Eero functionality. So I could replace my two with one. But why would I? etc. $$ saved!

That's not a bad idea to mesh the Alexa/Eero system. Starting from scratch it would be a good way to go. Neither of us need it but it is interesting.

That's weird about the tickets. When I've been offered Red Sox post-season tickets (not this year, obviously), it's been pretty straightforward, although I've had to buy the whole package (they don't actually charge for each series until the previous one is about to start). I'm a regular old season-ticket holder, maybe that's part of the difference.

Meanwhile, I see the Mariners finally did win a game, and we're doing our best to help. (We were at last night's SOo-Orioles game – we hadn't originally planned on it, but I still had the tickets, so why not? – and it was a nice, quick pitchers' duel, my favorite kind of game to attend.)

Had I taken the seat they had offered me at the $4,500 price for 6 games, it would have been easy. But the buying of a single ticket was where their system went whacko.
