Bits and bites

My main task today will be to stay cool. The sun is frying my terrace as I type this, but the A/C is going and so far so good.

I have a load of stuff to take downstairs - trash for the dumpster and clothes and stuff for Goodwill (these will make it to the car and then wait there until it next goes by the Goodwill). I might put away yesterday's laundry. Maybe.

I definitely will do some work. I got a fair amount done last night but when I logged onto the corporate network, I found a bunch o' bugs with my name on it. One of my clients submits all of his web page changes via bugs - one bug per page. It is a good system for his project. The bugs I found last night are priority 3 which means 'be good to have these done before next Thursday a.m.') but, why the heck not just go ahead and get them done? Plus I have another set of pages for another site that are just back from the editor. I've got enough to keep me cool.

And I have baseball to do it by this afternoon. As rsc pointed out, amazingly, the Mariners are now one game out of first place in the American League West. I was pretty darned sure they had a lock on last place. Shows how much I know.

I'm still tracking Chris. I think he's having breakfast (or a breakdown) in Montana. He's been 20 miles outside of Butte now for a little over an hour. He's in the middle of nowhere. Amazing to me. I'm not that big a fan of car trips. I'm not that big a fan of nowhere and have no desire to see the middle of it. But I love tracking him from here in my living room!

There's a lot of "the middle of nowhere" in Montana, but it's gorgeous still the same. I haven't been there in waaaaay too long.
And Betty still isn't done with the laundry? Lazy bones.
