susandennisI got up, got my coffee and was in my seat when the Google hardware announcement started. The new phone has a few more features than I expected and the new watch a few fewer but, of course, I bought both.
Unlike in past years, there was no confusion or delay with the Google store getting set up to take orders. It was ready before the meeting ended. Also their order fulfillment game has gotten much better. Instead of some frustrating end of October date, both will be here by the end of next week.
I had set aside more money than both actually ended up costing and I get a $200 store credit so look at all the money I'm saving!!
Amazon is sending me a new case for the phone. I cannot bring myself to carry a naked phone.
Oh, I charged the purchase of the watch and phone on my BECU visa (balance of $0). Which was immediately rejected. Which had never happened before. So I switched up and charged the purchase to my Chase Visa (balance of $0). And it went through. BUT then I got queries from both Chase (which has rejected many a purchase wanting confirmation) and BECU. Shit, guys. get it together.
Turns out, somehow, the original purchase on the BECU is the one that went through (according to the store and my receipt). BECU pays a .5 percent more in cash back. Woot! $7!!
I will be keeping an eagle eye on both accounts to ensure no fuckery, though.
So. Now that that excitement is done, it's back to baseball but not until tomorrow. We play Toronto in Toronto tomorrow at 1.
Today I'm taking my cable cards in and shutting down the TV part of that account. I'm so dreading it. I hate dealing with cable people more than anything. It's actually one of the reasons, I'm shutting it down. I had a great person at the cable company who looked after me and my account via email and was so efficient and nice for years. But, she finally got promoted - go! Katie! and left me nothing in her wake. sigh.
I did get all of the laundry done and put away yesterday.
And while I've said this plenty of times over the past month, today is actually cool. Inside and out. Finally, thankfully.
