What a way to go... out
Oct. 16th, 2022 07:30 amYesterday's ballgame started at 1 and ended at 7:30. 17 innings with no runs scored by either team. The first 9 innings were fun and interesting. The last 9 innings were grueling and painful. Finally, in the 18th inning, the Astros scored a run and we could not. The End.
I could not help but think about what if I had bought that ticket. I could see the seat on the TV. A nice looking guy was sitting there. I would have ended up paying $42 an inning. The regular season games this year, if 9 innings, cost about $36 an inning so the price bump would not have been that much and it included all the food and drink.
But, the smoke OMG, you could see it in the TV shots. I cannot imagine sitting/standing/shouting in it for 7+hours. I just looked and it's pretty much the same this morning 152 AQI.
So, I will start my Life Without Baseball still here inside. Which is fine. I have tons of TV to catch up on and crocheting to do. I have plenty of food and no reason to venture out.
I think I'm grateful that there are no more baseball games to lose.

Date: 2022-10-16 04:46 pm (UTC)The Mariners played well and did their best. It was much like the Rays. They went 15 innings before they lost in the wild card round. So I can sympathize.

Date: 2022-10-17 12:42 am (UTC)1. First get the rss feed of the journal you want. Just slap /data/rss on the end of the url.
So, for Rose, it's https://lifeinroseland.livejournal.com/data/rss
2. Then go to the Dreamwidth feed page and copy that URL into the box at the top.
https://www.dreamwidth.org/feeds/ and subscribe like you would any journal.
Then, if you go to your Manage Circles page, scroll down below the regular stuff and you'll see a list of your RSS feeds so you can delete if you want.
I've already created the Dreamwidth feed so if you just do Step 2, you should be able to subscribe.
Come back if you have questions :)
