A break in the smoke

susandennisI'm really a good sleeper. Fitbit gave me a score of 89 last night and Sleeptracker (an easy grader) gave me a 92. It was good.
I also discovered that my phone tracks my sleeping and snoring! It's one of those digital wellbeing settings that I think are stupid. I don't need or want anyone or thing to tell me how much time I 'should' be spending doing anything.
But, turns out, there's a setting for bedtime that measures all kinds of things and turns the phone off. (I am not that big a fan of calendar reminders at midnight.)
It's finally getting cooler inside. Outside it is still hot but the nights are cool and longer so that helps.
The smoke is giving us a break today. Tomorrow, the numbers are going back up so if I'm going outside, today's the day. I'm thinking a quick jaunt to return some Amazon and pick up some groceries.
The monthly HOA meeting is tonight and I might just pop into the zoom. Maybe just maybe all the recent crap has caused this stupid board to adopt some efficiencies. I doubt it, but worth a check and no baseball to cause a conflict.
I paid the HOA assessment today. Well, I set up the payment via bill pay. They should have the funds next week. But, I'll be checking to confirm. That's a fair number of sheckles to just toss over the electronic wall and hope they land.
You know those cat toys with the big circle of fabric and the moving thing under it? I've had one now for a while but it's a crappy one. Julio could dismantle it totally in 1 min. So I bought another one. It's better in lots of ways but still a problem. I made some hardware hacks and got it so that he could not knock it over or easily dismantle.
But, it has to be recharged. I forgot to plug it in last night and now it's dead. Julio is verklempt.
I ordered another one - different kind - that should be here today. So I can swap the two while charging.
Nothing spoiled about these cats.
Oh now they are on bird duty.
Today, besides the Amazon errand, I'll probably do some laundry. No other big plans.
I do need a shower, though and I think that's a good place to start.
