Back in the day when I dressed for work every day and did regular business with dry cleaners, I was forever 'shopping' in there. That carousel would whip around and stop and I'd see the greatest blouse or skirt or dress.

At the ballpark, I'm forever seeing a top or a jacket that I'd love to have.

This morning [personal profile] vysila posted photos of some of her winter wardrobe and my eyes wanted every single piece. I even went to the store where she got some of the pieces and looked.

BUT I don't need anything!! I have a closet full of winter clothes and a stash of fabric to make enough for an army. I don't need it. Stop looking.

Not one hour later, I thought, lined Crocs. I need some lined Crocs. And back shopping I went. Fortunately, I could not find any I loved. I used to have a pair of brown ones. I went to the shoe rack and nope, Goodwill has them BUT I have a pair of ankle boots that I bought last year and loved them so much I bought two more pair (different colors). They are lined. I do not need any more shoes. None. Quit looking!!

Sweat pants. I do need ONE paid of good (fitting) sweat pants so I went to Amazon and ordered 4 different ones with their Try Before You Buy deal. Maybe that will get this out of my system.

I have the same shirts and pants that I had when we moved into this house four years ago. I've added maybe two shirts, one pair of pants, and a couple of pair of shorts but any reason to replace is mere boredom based. I've got two drawers of t-shirts and a plastic container of the culled ones in the attic sitting on top of the box of culled sweaters.

I've got the same number of hangars I've had for years. One for each shirt. No extra.

It is so hard to just wear the damn clothes you have. Not like I'm a fashion plate but I walk through stores and reach out to touch shirts and pants and material that I'd love to have. Fortunately for me it is all expensive.

SO I feel for you. It would be so easy for me to wander through the men's ware and buy.

I also have one pair of lined croks that I've had for about 8 years. Didn't need that suggestion bouncing around in my brain, thank you very much.

Oh yes, I went and looked at that store too. But no, I do not need any more clothes.

I'd rather have an eye for clothing than my current obsession. Well, it's calmed down - I no longer ogle real estate and obsess about moving. That's an expensive habit.

Ok, now I'm curious what store this is that you're referring to! I've been in actual need of shirts lately as mine are getting too small to feel comfortable in. I have such a difficult time finding anything in my size at the small selection of stores near me, so I'm always looking for different resources.

lol I've seen the lined Crocs in the store & briefly thought about it.

You found good-fitting sweatpants?! Do they happen to have back pockets? I'm in need of something like that as well.
