Last Summer I accidentally shaved my head. I was cutting my hair as usual and the clippers weren't set right and I cut two bald patches in the top of my head. Whatever.

I cut the rest really close and soon learned that it is fabulous to wake up in the morning and have your hair look exactly like it did when you went to bed. To wear a hat or cap or toboggan and not get hat hair. To never have to pull out a brush or a comb.

The top is finally growing back in some. The sides and back have always been faster growers and thicker. I've finally gotten so I can easily cut them consistently with my clippers. Today I did a trim and, over all, it's not looking too bad. I think this is going to be the forever haircut. The price is right, the stylist does not make stupid chit chat, I can get an appointment any time I want and there's a strict no tipping policy.

I went to Goodwill this morning. I was hoping to miss all the halloween crowds since it was pouring rain and Monday morning. I didn't miss much of them. But, it was fine. I found about half of what I wanted. I picked up yet another treat puzzle for Biggie. It's too easy for him but totally worth $1.

I also picked up a new cat bed. Biggie called dibs immediately.

But, Julio still always wants to be where Biggie is and have what Biggie has so there was conversation.

And I love the new collage decorations in the Google Photo app.

I am done with baseball this year. But, if I weren't, I'd be a rabid Phillies fan. I want to see the Astros go down in national TV flames. Take 'em in four!

I'm a Phillies Phan - a phenatic, if you will. I don't watch much baseball, but I always know where the Phillies stand. Generally, they're not in a good place. Now, surprisingly, they're National League Champions, and their mission is to CREAM the Astros!

Well, I HATE the Yankees, always have, so it didn't bother me to see Houston win. But I'll agree with you. I heard someone on NPR said the phone in the dugout was undoubtedly tapped...

I may live in the NY area, but I have never liked the Yankees, I'm glad the Yankees were beat. I grew up in Philly. You can take the girl out of Philly, but you can't take Philly out of the girl!

Hair looks good! I keep my hair about that short and it's nice and low-maintenance. [I also feel you A LOT on just wanting the stylist to do their job and not make small talk. I'm really bad at that.]

I invested in a clipper 6 months into the pandemic when my hair was driving me nuts - and have been SO happy with it - I can't see going back to a hairdresser either!

My brother, who lives in Philadelphia, is a real Phillies fan (although he gave up his season tickets several years ago), and he said on the phone the other day that the Phillies probably don't stand a chance against the Astros. I pointed out that not long ago it was obvious that the Padres didn't stand a chance against the Dodgers.

I wasn't really rooting for the Astros in the ALCS, but there was some satisfaction to this Red Sox fan in seeing the Yankees get swept. And I've been rooting for the Phillies throughout, and will continue to do so as long as they survive.
