Everybody in my class
Dec. 3rd, 2022 08:32 amIn our family, we had a whine... But, everybody in my class has one/does it/gets to/doesn't have to... etc. My parents took it on and used it to mock us constantly.
Today I hear them both. Everybody in my class has snow but me. Twitter is full of photos from everywhere in Seattle. Snow everywhere. Here, a block from the bay, nothing. It's barely wet. Poop.
It's ok cause I might make a trip to Goodwill this morning, maybe. It's nuts to go on a Saturday but I have some donations and a list of things I'm looking for.
Yesterday I got a lot of chores done. Mainly I cleaned up the bathroom. I had a cable that needed fastened to the wall and treads that I use to keep from slipping that needed replaced and baseboard grime that needed disappearing. I finally got it all done. Pretty.
I also cleaned up my TV watching. I tried a couple of iffy shows and was able to delete them from the running. I remembered why I stopped watching Criminal Minds (too much melodrama, angst and cutsie). I started Three Pines and I think it's a keeper.
I have the most curious toe problem. Not gout. Sometimes, not always, it feels like an ingrown toenail at the base of the nail. Yesterday, during the aqua fit class, it was killing me. The entire hour. Today, I can press hard all over the toe and it's fine. So weird. I don't think it's fatal.
But, speaking of fatal, I think there is hope for my cousin's estate. SteveTheLawyer sent an email last night with an update that sounds like it might just happen. My cousin had investments in two places. Steve asked us (me and the other beneficiary) to decide if we wanted the investments or cash. This was a long, drawn out situation because he took forever to get details and then there was the ghosting with my own financial advisor, etc. Finally, both SamTheFriend and I agreed. Cash our and send the money. That was a month ago.
Now, as I suspected all along, this investment company is going to make us each create an account. They will liquidate enough to pay the required federal taxes and then divvy up the investments and put them into our new accounts. Up to us, then, when to liquidate.
So, net net, all the drama was for zip. I think SteveTheLawyer is full to the brim with good intentions. And maybe lacks a skill set that would have been handy for him to have had in this case.
Oh well.
Time now to get onto the treadmill.
