It leaks but that's good

Turns out my new $10/free coffee pot leaks, a little from the water silo. It's usable with a towel under it. Until my new one gets here. At least now I will feel no guilt in tossing it into the dumpster when I'm done with it.

My cut hand is bruised and sore but not so sore that I can't use it. The bandage is holding so in a week it will be fine. Whew. I always have this fear of being one of the biscillion people who, every year, end up in the ER after slicing their hand instead of the bagel. Not this week. I hope.

I have an amazon return but I don't think I'll go anywhere today.

Yep, the nice roomy blue cat bed... going back to Amazon. I never did like the color. Maybe they don't either. These pix were taken over the last week. Every day. The two of them in the one small bed.



I did all the chores yesterday so after my treadmilling, I think I'm going to take the day off. hahahaha like every day isn't a day off in my charmed life. I do wish I could come up with an excuse to blow off the treadmill but on the up side, I have a backlog of Jeopardy's to entertain me.

Last week on This American Life 'they' did a story about Ryan Long, as this article in a Philly paper notes. I heard the story and yeah, it kind of made me sniffle a bit!

yeah i heard that story, too - i wasn't teary eyed. i was disappointed - they had a great opportunity for an interesting story and wasted it on a boring one that was like a below average instagram profile.

on second thought, my take may be more harsh than deserved. This American Life isn't news coverage so not journalism at all but I still think they could have easily done such a better job.

it's funny how you and i clearly enjoy Jeopardy from two nearly opposing angles. no wonder the show is so popular!

I'm afraid there's not much there to catch up on. I haven't had much time or energy to post to DW and LJ since I moved. Most of the time I'm just too tired to want to sit at my computer once it is late enough in the evening that I have time to myself. Facebook, which I still hate, works well from my phone or tablet, and it is kind of necessary because that's how communications that I need happen, so that's what I end up using more.
