Grocery day?

I think today I'll go over to West Seattle and check in Trader Joes and also the Fancy market. I need produce and also Trader Joes has new gingerbread cookies I should try.

Otherwise, there is less than usual going on around here. It's always slow goings but holidays kind of bring everything to a halt. Which is fine. I don't mind a bit.

I am shopping way too much. Not for gifts. For me! Amazon makes it far too easy this time of year. I need to close all my Amazon tabs and pretend it's closed for the holidays. Maybe I should try the one day at a time scheme. Let's see if I can get through today without ordering anything online. I'll bet I can.

After bragging about yesterday's great pot of coffee, this morning's is really off the mark. There's a lot of downsides to Keurig but at you gotta give it to them for consistency. Oh well, practice.

It's treadmill time and Biggie is sitting on the counter next to his empty food bowl - clear messaging. But Julio is spread out over my legs. He's so soft and warm, I can't bear to dislodge him.

Ok one more game of gin and then I will.

As I get older I read faster than my brain processes what really is on the screen. I would have sworn your last sentence was "Ok one more glass of gin and then I will". I was about to call you out on drinking so early in the day. ;-)

My mom set up the coffee (percolator) by carefully counting out 12 coffee scoops of grounds into the basket. If you came into the kitchen to talk to her, she would start counting aloud so she wouldn't mess up (and I knew to be quiet until she was done). When I started making coffee for my husband and me, I counted the # of scoops into a measuring cup and then just used that much going forward. The half-cup measure lives in the coffee can and I do have a proper scoop in case I want to make more or less.

When I saw friends just sprinkling directly from the can, I thought my head would explode! lol
