No flushing

While I was out this morning, we got the reminder that we will likely have no water in the building today until late this afternoon. They have scheduled and canceled this so many times, I've forgotten why they are even doing it. But, I did remember, before I left to fill pitchers and, much to Julio's dismay, I put the filled water pitchers in a cupboard where, hopefully, he can't get to them. I got home and checked and whew.

But no flushing.

I got up the morning and did my usual futzing around, having coffee, etc. and before I knew it I was nearly late for swimming. So I did not empty litter boxes or even make my bed, I just stuffed my fat ass into my suit and hit the road.

I ended up get 40 minutes of laps in so I didn't even feel bad about skipping out after 40 minutes of class. The instructor is so horrible. This morning, I stayed way off to the edge and just made sure I was moving the whole time. Working my arms and legs. And I called it good.

Then on to my biscuit breakfast. Lovely. I honestly can see bailing on Friday aqua fit classes but I do like that I do it. I need a treadmill/jeopardy filler and that little biscuit breakfast is just lovely. Good biscuit/good coffee/good music. And I rarely get to that part of town so a good excuse to get up there. I think I might not bail yet.

Oh But Big NEWS!!!! Just as I got to the pool, my phone beeped. My hands weren't wet yet so I looked and it was an email from HeatPumpMatthew. My city permit is approved!!!! They are waiting on a copy to be emailed and then will call for scheduling. So I will have air conditioning before it gets hot. thankyoujesus.

Now starts the bitching about workmen and scheduling and disruption and dust and fixes, etc. Settle back, it's likely to be a long siege. But at least it stands a good chance of being done by the time hot weather gets here.

I have been wearing crocs/no socks to the pool. I wear them into the pool area and then into the shower and then back out the door but today was the last day for a while. I've been home now in warm fuzzy slippers and my toes are still ice cubes. Socks next time. Socks.

What great timing. I'm unemployed, again, and the World Cup is over. All in time to watch the Susie condo refit show. I need to cast it to my TV.

It WAS! Also you were on my brain because after biscuit, I went over to check out the Magnolia version of Met Market. Magnolia always just confuses me so much. Besides getting lost, there is so much to see... probably why I get lost. Then I was going to tap into your Darvis QFC for some jumbo eggs (which Met Mrk did not have) and I missed the turn off. phewy. Hanging in your hood is hard!

They say it's a peninsula, but they should just call it an island. My friend Bella works at the Met Market now. Hopefully you found your jumbo eggs somewhere.

ooooo what fun to have a met mkt insider! there was a bakery woman helping a customer and bakery woman was doing such a good job of selling this cake that i wanted it and i don't even like that kind of cake! i'm ok on eggs, really. i was just after an insurance dozen.

Also your brother just reminded me about your cameras. I just opened the page now. This is my first time checking out Live Susan from my work computer. The last time I did that was when Biggie was still recovering from his big fall and I got to witness him make a dramatic move. I think he had jumped up onto the chair. This time I can't spot either cat. They must be doing what my cat does this time of day. Napping. Most times of day really.

Actually they are both here. Julio's under the desk watching his pink toy go around and Biggie's wandering around looking for trouble. But, nap time is soon!!
