It's all about the cookies

I don't decorate for holidays. I don't gather with friends and family. I don't give or receive gifts. I don't party. Christmas mostly just blows right past me and I'm fine with that. It all suits me fine.

But I am a sucker for cookies and Christmas is max cookie time.

My dream would be to crash a cookie exchange and make off with dozens of delicious home made cookies. The other day I picked up a package of assorted cookies in the bakery section. It wasn't until I got home that I noticed they were gluten free. Ugh. But, about half were biscotti (makes sense) and I'm fine with biscotti. This moring, I tried little chocolate ones and OMG. Delish.

We finally did get water last night about 8:30. I still have a sink of dirty dishes so that will be this morning's project.

But just yet we're easing into the day. The cats are on the couch back in their heated beds. Alternating between bird watching and napping.

Today I have a few chores I really want to get done. Picking up cat toys, laundry, dishes. Then crochet and TV. Happily, I have no where I need or want to go.

I do need to get onto the treadmill, however.

I think gluten-free cookies (and other baked goods) have improved over the years. My DIL has Celiacs Disease and can only eat gluten-free. She has vouched for the improvement, and the ones I've tasted have been quite good.

I agree with Sweetmeow. My daughter has Coeliacs so I've eaten a fair amount of gluten free food. Sometimes you can barely tell it's gluten free.

ah how I wish there were bakeries here who did gluten free cookies! We only have industrial ones...
But my mom made some Florentines for me, which do not have any flour anyway, so yeah :)
