Keurig rides again plus other changes

I hate dark mode. I'd made so many changes to this computer, that yesterday I just did a power wash. This is basically a chromebook in one big display so you can powerwash just like a chromebook. Wipe out everything and start fresh. Takes maybe 10 mins from the time you start until you are all signed in with all your tabs back. I store most everything in the cloud. I always forget one thing. Yesterday it was a crochet pattern for a shawl. I never wear shawls but I loved the pattern and the colors. I found it months ago and, apparently, bungled the saving of the PDF. Oh well. NBD.

Now my computer is bright and clean and happy again.

This morning, I got up and hit 'brew' and before I knew it coffee was all over the place. It looked like maybe I didn't lock the top of the pot tightly enough. So I cleaned up the mess and made a new pot. And then it leaked everywhere, too! WTF?????? I'm sure the maker is not broken but I am. I cleaned it all up and packed it and all its accouterments up and got the Keurig out of the closet and in two minutes I had coffee. Clean and neat and fast and tidy. I should have just changed coffees and not pots. Live and learn. A rather expensive lesson but I learned.

The other day I got some of their 'homemade' chili at the fancy market. I decided to try it last night. Amazingly I had fritoes and grated cheese and sour cream on hand so I had kind of a frito pie and it was delicious. I still have enough for another round. So glad to know their chili is decent.

And speaking of chilly, it kind of in here this morning so the cats are back to one bed and a cuddle.



Today, I'm going to finally remove the TiVo's from my TVs. I got my first TiVo in 2000. They served me many years but going back to that system now would be silly. So no need to hang onto the hardware. We've had a good run. Soon it will be Spring training and I'll be switching from YouTube.TV to Fubo. (Youtube does not carry the local sports station.)

It does carry the World Cup game this morning but I don't care. Except, that now, in the overtime, I'm following via my twitter feed and it's way funner than watching it. The reporting and commentary by these fans is breathtaking and hilarious and fun.

It was a really not so interesting match until it was VERY interesting. I was for France. Fortunately I never trust my desires to make any kind of wager.

Oh - you probably already know this, but I saw an ad the other day that made me think of you. Apparently 33 seasons of Jeopardy are freely available to stream on pluto tv?

Yep. But the key to my Jeopardy joy is the new shows. I keep saying I'm going to try the really old ones and I have Pluto loaded and ready so there's hope.

I feel a bit less alone now. Most of the internet seems to love dark mode for more or less everything. I've always preferred light. Except for some reason Discord, which I do use dark mode for. I'm a walking mass of contradictions! :D

I know I kept hearing so much about it and everybody said that was the way they kept their eyes from getting nuts so I thought I'd try it. I see some of the benefits but I like the white I really do. Seems like I have the dark mode on some app but I don't remember which one so I get the contradiction.

I like reading. Books are black on white, and I feel that's used for a reason. When I'm reading on a screen, I find it comfortable to see (roughly) the same colours I see in books.
