The tree's ice is gone. Maybe the bird's knocked it off. But, it is now daylight and OMG what a mess. I'm watching Front Door TV Network.

I've seen two people leave the building on foot. Both slid across the sidewalk and walked on the street. Must be slushy there as opposed to icy. I haven't seen anyone with a dog. Wonder if they are all pooping inside. There is some traffic but not much. Everything is closed, according to Twitter. And there is no shortage of phone videos showing the ice.

Seattle is full of hills, small and large - ice disasters. It's supposed to rain, sleet and/or snow all day. A procrastinator's nightmare.

We do not generally lose power due to weather but I think, to be on the safe side, I'll just make sure some of those external batteries I have are fully charged and ready.

I could procrastinate my treamilling until the power goes out but that would be beyond ridiculous. So I guess I'll do it now and get it out of the way.

I have many memories of the "hilarity" of Seattle being hit by snow/ice. I can't say I miss that part...

Not true. I just watched a car drive down my street, stop right in the intersection with Dravus (the big steep hill), the driver got out of the car, managed to run up Dravus in the street, slide back down yelling, "Whooo Hooo!", then get back into his car and drive up Dravus. I could hear a lot of tire spinning when he got out of my sight. I kept waiting to see if his car would side back down the hill, but apparently he made it. If I could walk down the block to Dravus, I'd stay out there a while and watch the stupidity of cars drying to drive it, but the sidewalk is in-walkable.

Same here, but worse. We’re in Milwaukee though so we kind of expect it. LOL
Just peeked in At your building door cam and saw a woman ……on crutches….go figure…… with two chihuahuas in tow go out onto the sidewalk. That’s a disaster waiting to happen!
