Heat wave!

It's 40 (-4) degrees here this morning and everything looks pretty darned melted. The ice rink that was the stadium parking lot is gone. Whew. Yesterday was a crazy day. Today looks way more normal.

Last night I chipped a tooth. The back side of my lower front tooth. On Friday of Christmas weekend. of course. Happily, the tooth does not hurt. It does have a jagged edge that was killing my tongue. I had some very old (expired last July) tooth putty that turns out to be still quite viable. I shoved a bit of that in there and that fixed the tongue issue nicely. After breakfast this morning, it seems to have fallen out BUT my tongue is not longer fixated on the edge and/or the edge is not as edgy.

Now I have to stress over the dentist. Do I go? Or can I skate by with the chip. Is this a chip or the beginning of a crack? I'd really really really like to not lose this front tooth. But, a trip to the dentist is not really in my bag of things I tolerate. There is nothing I can do until at least Monday anyway. Except stress about it.

I saw this on Twitter this morning and it made me laugh out loud.

My Mom had a pair of sewing scissors that had a giant red nail polish stripe on them. There was no police threat at our house, tho. We were dead if we touched them. I am fortunate enough to have two pair of sewing scissors - one in the living room sewing box and one in the sewing room. BOTH are stored with a pair of non-sewing scissors so that even in a rush, I am never tempted.

Today I think I'm going to venture out into the world. I have two Amazon returns and I need cat food. I have a credit at the pet food store and they just opened up a new link in the little local chain that is not too far from the Amazon Fresh store. And in between the two is fried chicken. So I'm thinking a trifecta errand trip.

The cats are being their adorable selves. Last night there was this heated bed situation for the longest time. Cracked me up.

And then it morphed into this.

And, this morning... there are 4 platforms on this cat tree. They could each have one. But, no.

This time last year, this was Biggie

He had stitches down his stomach from his 4th bowel obstruction surgery. He hated that onesy like nobody's business. And managed to eventually pull out half of them anyway. We are 7 days away from the first full year of Biggie's short life that he hasn't had at least one surgery. He'll be 4 in march.

I still have my Mom's sewing scissors. They shrink away when they get near paper.

I have so loved the photos of your boys. I remember Biggie being in the onesy. Things have improved so much and it makes me laugh to see them together on the same platform.

My mother was like that, too! It was DEATH to cut paper with her fabric shears!
