Change of plans

susandennisI had a 9 am zoom call with my new financial advisor. Until I got an email asking if we could move it. Apparently, his daughter brought home a virus from college and shared it with the family and he has a doctor's appointment this morning.
In 1968 (my memory isn't that good - wikipedia told me the year), the Hong Kong flu made the rounds. I was headed home from college for Christmas and bringing my friend, Jane Lee, with me. Jane was from... Hong Kong! And we both brought the Hong Kong flu with us. But, it was the American version. Jane hadn't been home since Summer. I don't remember being horribly sick or having it disrupt Christmas. But, I have sympathy for Geoff and I appreciate his telling me instead of ghosting me.
Also very classy that he sends both an email and a calendar invite with the link details that updates my Google calendar. (The other financial advisor has his 'girl' call me to set up an appointment for him to call me. 1. not a fan of the calls and 2. not a fan of the process.)
I was going to hop on the treadmill before the call and then head out to the market after. But, now I'm thinking I might just kill a little time and get my chores done. Then hop into my swim suit and head to the pool on the way to the market. The market opens early but they don't set out the fixed foods until 10:30 so I don't want to get there before then.
I think this is what I'm going to do. The only down side is that usually when I get out of the pool, I am starving to death. Not a great time to do meal shopping. But, I'll give it a try. I have a list.
