I met with the new finance guy and like all finance guys, after the first 5 minutes, I'm hearing Charlie Brown's teacher. But at least he finally asked "let me know if this detail is more than you want." YES!! He did do, at my request, a top level analysis of the other finance guy's work and, as I suspected, I'm paying too much. I've always known that but they always made me so much, it was hard to quibble and I had no plan b. Now I have a plan b.

At Geoff's (new guy) suggestion, we're going to dump a pile of looser investments today - tax advantage. And park the $ in a very high yield interest account while he comes up with a better plan. I'm really comfortable with him and glad he's got my shit. Also glad to have this done in time for this tax year.

The bench arrived. The mail carrier - a new guy I had not seen before - after much persuasion, brought it up to my door and I dragged it the rest of the way. The length is perfect. But it's too short. Happily I found nice looking risers that will be here tomorrow and fix the short.

Today, I need to rearrange things in there - that bench has a lot of storage.

The most difficult part of the whole thing was getting the giant boxes (the bench was in a box that was in a box) down to the dumpster. but, dont.

I have a couple of errands to run. I am out of kleenex. Somehow my Amazon Subscribe and Save failed. I'm down to a handful and that's not going to cut it with my nose that is a marathon runner. So reinforcements are needed.

Come baseball season, I'm going to need to switch to Fubo TV to get the games. I currently have YouTube.Tv which I will drop. But, I decided yesterday to get a free week of Fubo to try out. I tried it out last year but I didn't really have a handle on my needs at the time. Now, I understand better. So, I'm going to use it for a week and see how we get along. Not that it will make a lick o' difference cause the other choices for watching the Mariner games are not that viable. But, at least this way, I'll know what to expect.

I am very behind in my TV watching. I'm still deep into Justified and getting caught up with Home Economics and soon the regular shows will be back and then there will be baseball every day and I will never catch up.

Oh well.

Time now to get going on this day!

That's so awesome that you lucked into this new financial guy and now have a Plan B. Always a good thing.

That bench looks really nice. I've been thinking about getting one for my bedroom, once all the work is done. Do report in on how it works for you.

I give it 5 stars. It's solid and nicely built and holds a crapton 'o stuff. Just too short for my bed (which is kind of high) so don't be like me, measure! (but the same company does a bunch of different ones so you might find one you like better anyway. Biggie and Julio asked me to tell you that boxes are for cat play so you must keep them for a couple of days for them to enjoy. Cutting doors and windows in them will make them love you more, they say.
