susandennisI actually answered one of the Only Connect questions and before the geniuses buzzed in!!! Total victory.
Then on to Goodwill where I, once again, scored big. I found the perfect plates and the perfect bowls.
I packed up the current set and even the backup set and put them by the door to take to the car for the next Goodwill run.
Now I am on hold with Humana. This will not end nearly as well, I'm sure. They have a program to defray some of the costs of inhalers for COPD peops. Which is great. But, you have to re-up every year and the sign up process is a major PIA. I will, maybe, eventually get a clerk who will know nothing about the program who will transfer me to another line where I will wait longer and maybe, someday, talk to the people who can sign me up. Maybe.
Happily, I can at least use Google's Hold For Me. So I don't have to listen to how important my call is or their choice for music. Google will ping me when it's go time.
EDIT. I did finally get a person who did transfer me BUT no waiting. Bernard took down all my info AND told me that the program now pays through the donut hole. This is huge. Thank you, President Biden. In former years, my $300 a month inhaler cost me $10 a month until I hit the max which was July. Then I got to pay the $300 a month. Except, I generally just metered out the dosage. Now I can take full dose for a year for $0!!
But, of course, there's a catch. To sign up, I have to talk to a pharmacist. First available is the 20th of February!! Holy fuck. On the plus side, I have a little inhaler stock pile but geesh. So I'll go to the lung doctor next week and ask her to please hold off on any prescription until the end of February. holy buckets. A fucked up system but it could be worse, like last year!
